MAY OF LONDON LIMITED – PRIZE COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Eligibility

• Entrants must be 18 years or older and permanent residents of the UK (England, Scotland, or Wales).
• Employees, contractors, and family members of May of London Ltd are not eligible to enter.
• Entrants must have access to the internet and a valid UK postal address.
• Entrants for air rifles must comply with section 21 of the Firearms Act as amended.

2. Entry Methods

2.1 Paid Entry

To enter a competition:

• Visit www.mayoflondon.com/competitions.
• Select your desired competition.
• Answer the qualifying skill-based question.
• Purchase tickets (pricing and maximum entries per competition will be clearly stated).

Tickets are only valid if:

• The skill question is correctly answered,
• Payment is completed in full,
• The entry is submitted before the published closing date.

2.2 Free Postal Entry (Recorded Delivery Only)

You may enter without purchasing tickets by following these steps:

Terms for postal entries:

• One entry per household.
• No bulk or group entries.
• All postal entries must be received no later than 14 days after the announced closing date.
• We do not accept proof of postage—only recorded delivery entries will be considered valid.
• Postal entries are treated equally to paid entries and will be entered into the same draw.

3. Winner Selection

• The draw will take place when the maximum number of paid entries has been reached
• The winner will be selected randomly using an automatic system.
• The draw will be conducted online automatically
• All entries (paid and postal) will be included.

4. Notification of Winners

• Winners will be notified by email and telephone within 48 hours of the draw.
• Winners must respond and verify identity within 28 days by providing:
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Proof of address
  • If entered via paid route: proof of payment

Failure to respond or provide verification within 28 days may result in the prize being forfeited and redrawn.

5. Prizes

• The prize is as stated in the competition listing.
• Prizes are either brand-new or as described (if pre-owned or vintage).
• We reserve the right to offer a cash alternative at 80% of the prize’s stated value, in the event the original item is no longer available.
• All prizes include insured delivery within the UK.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

• No refunds will be offered for any paid entries unless:
  • The competition is cancelled,
  • Minimum entry threshold is not reached (if applicable),
  • A material technical issue prevents entry from being registered.

In such cases, all entrants will be refunded in full.

7. Publicity & Data

• Winners may be announced on our website and social media platforms, including:
  • First name
  • First initial of surname
  • County of residence

You may opt out of publicity by contacting support@mayoflondon.com before the draw.

• All personal data is handled per the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
• Data is used for competition entry processing, winner verification, and limited marketing (if opted in).

8. Limitation of Liability

• May of London Ltd is not liable for:
  • Delays in delivery,
  • Lost or illegible postal entries,
  • Any loss resulting from incomplete or incorrect entry.

9. Governing Law

These terms and all competitions are governed by English law, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
