An inspection of firearms licensing

His Majesties Inspectorate of Constabulary and fire and Rescue Services have published a review of the firearms licencing system with recommendations, the link below will direct you to the report, which I must say makes interesting reading!!

All shotgun and firearms licence holders including RFD's should read the report and consider what the proposed implications are on their sport, their business and their livelihoods. Members of the public engaged in the sport, including land owners, shoot organisers, shooting organisations, clay grounds, shooting ranges, bird food manufacturers, bird breeders, shoot support and any other support organisations associated with the sport, need to take note of the proposed changes, some of which seem to be unsupported with facts, especially about the transfer of shotguns to section 1 and the publics safety by doing this.
